Crystal Taro Cake


Ingredients (serves 3-4):

  • 300 g (10.6 oz) taro

Seasoning:

  • 200 g (7 oz) water
  • 40 g (1.4 o) sugar
  • 155 g (5.5 oz) sweet potato starch

Steps:

  • Peel and shred taro. Steam the shredded taro until softened.
  • Mix sugar and water until dissolved, then add sweet potato starch and mix well. Add the steamed taro and stir until well combined.
  • Grease the inside surface of a container.
  • Pour the taro mixture into the container and level it out.
  • Steam until cooked.
  • Let cool before cutting into pieces (oiling the knife beforehand can help with cutting).
